When speaking with the leader of a non-profit recently, they explained to us the majority of organizations were either skilled at raising money or effective at providing services, but rarely did they do both.

In fundraising, there are many fields to harvest and each requires different tools. Soliciting corporate gifts, holding large social events, and receiving personal donations all require a unique setup with different areas of expertise.

At the other end of the spectrum, the “boots on the ground” who are closest to the people in need, often feel they are fighting a raging fire and simply need more water fast. More people, more money, and more hours in a day would be a great start.

Often, the people who are giving the help are rarely speaking with the people who are paying for it. This creates a two-way disconnect where the giver doesn’t feel in control or connected to their gift while the receiver can rarely express what they need most.

We feel that it is possible to streamline and simplify the act of giving while making it completely transparent, more efficient, and fully decentralized. We do this by utilizing blockchain technology to create a platform that incentivizes the people closest to those in need to take action and distribute assistance.

By using blockchain to record these acts of good, we create tokenizable events that can then be purchased and traded as a way of funding the initial assistance. In addition, ongoing funding and royalty mechanisms can be built into each event's smart contract.
